Massage is more than just for relaxation though that is usually
the first thing that comes to mind when one thinks of getting a
massage. Oxygenation of the blood is enhanced during massage
work as the blood is pumped through the muscles, which in turn
assists the immune system to be boosted for overall health.
Mt. Shasta is a haven of relaxation with more outdoor activities
to partake in then I care to name in this blog, though a few of
them would make massage a welcomed treat afterwards.
Kayaking, Hiking, Mountain Biking, Swimming, Rock Climbing
are all activities that thoroughly work the muscles of the body,
and most times result in some soreness which massage therapy
helps to release. I have had the privilege of helping many clients
feel better after a long day of play when they've stayed in McCloud
at the McCloud River Mercantile, The McCloud Guest House and
the McCloud River Inn. All of these B&B's have on-site massage in
the comfort of your own suite, and I am happy to visit you there
so you can make your stay even better by relaxing and taking care
of yourself in one of the healthiest ways.
When you book your trip to the Mt. Shasta area and decide to give
back to yourself by booking a massage session, you'll find a wide
variety of massage therapists in the Shasta area. I personally do
the massages at the above listed B&B's, as well as many vacation
homes. Reiki is another specialty that I use in my massage work,
as well Hot Stone massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Deep Tissue,
Aromatherapy and Shiatsu. Seeing clients at my office in Mt. Shasta
is also an option.
I look forward to a busy summer helping anyone who plays hard and
realizes how important massage therapy is for recovery and overall
wellness.
Cheers,

Mt. Shasta Massage Treatments, Alternatives to Spa
Massage therapy, especially in the Mt. Shasta area has
almost as many faces as there are stars in the sky. Okay,
so perhaps that's stretching the truth just a bit but you
do have a choice of over 50 different Massage Therapists or
Practitioners to choose from. How do you know which one
to choose from? Do your homework, look at their websites,
get a feel from their client comments, the modalities
listed and go with what resonates for you.
Though the Spa experience can be delightful, there are
many alternatives to massage therapy beyond the Spa
setting. Many Massage Therapists began their careers in
Day Spas, only to realize that they could break out on
their own and be truly self-sufficient without sacrificing the
quality of massage their clientele had come to expect. To
work in a Spa setting is wonderful, to work for oneself while
keeping your clients coming back for me is even more
rewarding. The truth that you get to keep 100% of your
pay when working for yourself, instead of giving up 40%
or more to the Spa you're working for after you've done all
the work (well, minus the booking)...Priceless!
Actually, when you attend your clients and are able to keep
100% of your pay, you're more inclined to give each and
every client your heart & soul as you work together. You
begin to truly appreciate how much you touch your clients on
more than just a physical level because you are the one who
interacts with that person from the moment they call you to
book their massage. You do the intake, you find out exactly
what is happening in that clients life so you can find the best
avenue to take to assist them in their healing journey.
Yes, the alternative to the Spa experience for massage in the
Mt. Shasta area is truly a blessing. I will always be grateful
for my experiences at the 2 local Day Spas where I began my
career, but I will forever cherish the choices I made to break out
on my own and give totally from my heart & soul to my own
clientele....I appreciate you all & look forward to meeting the ones
who will come to my door!

Mt. Shasta's abundance
It's almost hard to believe that a few short months
ago, Mt. Shasta & the entire area was blanketed in
white, powdery snow. Now we are off to the races
with weather that is more in line with the outdoor
activities that most of us long for during the cold
winter months.
Mt. Shasta draws to it's slopes avid climbers from
around the world who attempt (many successfully)
to climb to the 14,162 ft. summit. I can only imagine
the feeling of achievement & joy one must feel when
they make it to the top. No, I haven't climbed Mt. Shasta
and have no plans to, let's just say I'm a cautious soul,
preferring to worship her beauty from below!
The massage therapists of Mt. Shasta are blessed in
that we live in an area of great abundance. This abundance
includes the people of the world who descend upon our
doorstep and who are avidly searching for quality massage
therapy while here. Your choices are many, and I'm happy
to say that many of us are in the midset of cooperation
rather than competition. Those in the Mt. Shasta massage
arena who see competition sadly block themselves from the
flow of energy that permeates not only this sacred area, but
all of life. Ah well, they get what they get because that is
where they choose to put their attention.
The Mt. Shasta area includes the surrounding towns of Weed,
Dunsmuir & McCloud, the latter is the town where I make my
residence. There's something so quaint and almost out of time
about McCloud, and should you choose to stay here for a night,
a weekend or more you won't be disappointed with the abundance
of places to still for so small a town.
McCloud is home to a host of B&B's. I personally do my massage
work at the McCloud River Mercantile, The McCloud Guest House,
and the McCloud River Inn. You can book your massage when you
book your room and make your stay even more memorable by
truly allowing yourself to unwind from the stress of everyday living.
